PM Narendra Modi expresses shock over massive blast in Lebanon's Beirut

New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed shock and sadness over the large explosion in Beirut city, Lebanon.

"Shocked and saddened by the large explosion in Beirut city leading to loss of life and property. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and the injured,'the PM said.

A massive explosion hit the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Tuesday, killing over 100 people and wounding more than 4000. The impact of explosions was so huge that buildings all over Beirut were shaken up and left glasses shattered in most areas.
