PM Modi urges hydrocarbon companies to come to India, promises help

New Delhi, Dec 5 (IBNS): Inaugurating Petrotect 2016 on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged hydrocarbon companies to come to India and be a part of the government's 'Make In India' project.

"I call upon hydrocarbon companies to come & @makeinindia and explore opportunities here. Government will extend all possible support," his tweet read.

"Government's Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production Policy has key salient features that will encourage growth & investment in the sector," a second tweet read.

PM Modi spoke about the four pillars of energy, energy access, energy efficiency, energy sustainability and energy security, during his speech.

"Talked about 4 pillars of our vision for India’s energy future- energy access, energy efficiency, energy sustainability and energy security."

In a recent interview with David Letterman, Modi had said that while every county is interdependent on one another, climate is a collective responsibility.
