PM Modi condoles former Singapore President S.R.Nathan's death
"Saddened by the demise of former Singapore President SR Nathan. Singapore has lost a distinguished leader who was widely admired," PM Modi said.
"We in India join the people of Singapore in deeply mourning the passing away of former President Nathan. Condolences to his family," the Prime Minister said.
S R Nathan died on Monday after suffering from a stroke three weeks ago.
He was 92.
Nathan served as the President of Singapore from 1999 to 2011.
