PM Modi, Ashraf Ghani hold 'important' bilateral talks
"Beginning together before the #HeartofAsia Ministerial. PM @narendramodi and President @ashrafghani hold an important bilateral meeting," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
According to reports, the meeting lasted about an hour during which broad contours of a bilateral air cargo service pact to boost trade were discussed.
They reportedly discussed measures to curb terrorism too in South Asia by putting pressure on Pakistan.
Both PM Modi and Ashraf Ghani reached Amritsar on Saturday to attend the 'Heart of Asia' conference.
Modi and Ghani also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Saturday.
