New Delhi/IBNS: The India Australia Business & Community Alliance (IABCA), backed by the Australian government’s Centre for Australia–India Relations, will host its 2025 India Immersion Week in New Delhi and Mumbai from September 9 to 12, bringing together senior leaders from government, business, academia and culture.
The four-day program will align with the Australia–India Economic Roadmap “Superhighways” and feature a series of forums, panels and cultural showcases. The IABCA Awards Gala will take place Sept. 11 at JIO World Centre in Mumbai, where winners across categories will be announced.
Indian High Commissioner to Australia Gopal Baglay said, "This year's India Immersion Week in New Delhi and Mumbai will convene senior decision-makers and thought leaders at a time when our bilateral ties are at their strongest.
"I am pleased to see IABCA championing not only trade and investment but also people-to-people links and cultural collaboration, which are the true bedrock of the India-Australia relationship."
The economic agenda will include the Green Growth Superhighways panel at the IABCA Global Leaders Forum in Mumbai, with Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Australian High Commissioner Philip Green and industry leaders discussing renewable energy, cross-border trade, and skills development.
Deakin University, with more than three decades of education collaboration in India, reaffirmed its support for the program.
Vice-Chancellor Iain Martin said the initiative highlights the strength of the bilateral relationship, while Ravneet Pawha, the university’s South Asia CEO, emphasised its role in fostering "impactful connections across business, government and culture".

Beyond economics, IABCA 2025 will have a strong emphasis on cultural diplomacy.
The cultural programme will feature the Business of Culture Roundtable at the Prime Ministers’ Museum in Delhi, a creative industries panel in Mumbai, and a fireside chat with former Australian cricket captain Steve Waugh, who will launch The Spirit of Cricket India exhibit.
The debut of the FOMA First Nations Runway Showcase and the Australia–India Orchestra will further highlight cross-cultural collaboration.
IABCA has also partnered with the India Vision Institute as its official charity partner, supporting its work in providing free eye care to underserved communities across 25 states.
Sonia Sadiq Gandhi, founder of IABCA, said the program “amplifies shared leadership, celebrates excellence, and fosters partnerships that leave a lasting legacy.”
Marking its twelfth year, IABCA has evolved from an awards platform into a broader initiative for dialogue and collaboration across sectors.
