Kolkata, Jan 11 (IBNS): Attacking the Centre over the note ban issue, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said the people of India will 'ban' the Narendra Modi-led government soon.

"Within hours of announcement of demonetisation I raised my voice. Why did they introduce Rs 2000 notes after banning Rs 1000? People will ban Modi Sarkar soon," the Chief Minister said.

She questioned the Centre why the situation in the state has not normalised after 50 days since the ban was announced on Nov 8.

She asked: "Are 50 days not over? Why are restrictions on withdrawal limit still in place?”

She said probe agency the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has  become ‘Conspiracy Bureau of India’.
