'Odd-Even' to remain suspended on Nov 11-12: Kejriwal

New Delhi/UNI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that the ongoing odd-even road rationing scheme will not be in force on Nov 11 and 12 to allow hassle free commuting to Sikh community on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal  also announced that the Kartarpur corridor will be incldued in the Mukhyamanti Trath yatra Yojana for sehnior citizens.

"We have taken two significant decisions in regard to the 550th birth Anniversary of #GuruNanak. The #OddEven scheme will not be in force in November 11 and 12. Kartarpur corridor will be included in the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana for senior citizens," read the CM's tweet.

Chief Minister's pilgrimage scheme was launched in July, under which the first batch of old-age pilgrims travelled to Golden Temple-Wagah Border-Anandpur Sahib corridor on July 12 and Vaishno Devi-Jammu corridor on July 20.

Kejriwal said that Delhi Government will bear any fee that needs to be paid to Indian Government or Pakistan Government in foreign or Indian currency.

The odd and even scheme is in force in Delhi from November 4 to November 15.
