NTPC blast: At least 25 killed, Rahul to visit accident site today
New Delhi/Lucknow, Nov 2 (IBNS): The death toll in the NTPC boiler blast in Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli district has reached 25, reports said on Thursday.
The fatal accident took place on Wednesday, injuring over 100 people.
Condoling the loss, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said he will be visiting the accident spot.

"Due to the unfortunate NTPC accident, I will visit Rae Bareli tomorrow morning. Will join Gujarat Navsarjan Yatra in the afternoon," Ganhi had tweeted on Wednesday night.
An enquiry has been set up by NTPC Management to investigate the reasons for the accident.
"All possible measures are being taken to provide immediate relief to the families of affected people in close coordination with the district administration," the statement added.
President Ram Nath Kovind condemned the incident and tweeted: "Anguished by loss of lives in power plant mishap in Raebareli. Condolences to bereaved families. Govt is helping injured."
Sharing his thoughts about the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Modi tweeted: "Deeply pained by the accident at the NTPC plant in Raebareli. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly. The situation is being closely monitored & officials are ensuring normalcy is restored."
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased, Rs 50,000 for the seriously injured and Rs 25,000 for those with minor injuries.
