NDA committed to Nagaland's transformation: PM Modi

Tuensang, Feb 22 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is committed to  transformation of Nagaland as the state is heading towards the Assembly poll, scheduled to be held in the last week of February.

Speaking at a rally in Tuensang, Modi urged all people to support BJP for the sake of development in the state.

He said: "We want to provide a stable, inclusive and corruption-free government in the state."

Modi  highlighted the key issues the BJP would like to focus if voted to power.

"We want to improve connectivity, ensure electricity for all homes and focus on organic farming" he said.

He has also pitched in the Ayushmann Bharat initiative which was proposed in the Union budget 2018.

Modi said the Ayushmann Bharat will bring a positive impact in Nagaland.

He said: "The Ayushman Bharat initiative, which seeks to provide good quality and affordable healthcare, will have a positive impact in Nagaland."

The Nagaland poll will take place on February 27 and the results will be out on March 3.

Elections will take place in 59 out of 60 Assembly seats in the state.
