Nawaz Sharif attacks India

Islamabad, Oct 5 (IBNS): Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said India has thwarted his nations move to bring both the countries to the dialogue table.

"We have done everything to make India come to the dialogue table, but india did not let it happen. Our efforts were thwarted over and over again. I would like to repeat our stance that we are against war. We want peace in the region," Sharif was quoted as saying in the joint session of Parliament by Dawn News.

"We want to resolve all outstanding disputes through dialogue," he said.

Sharif said India blamed Pakistan for the Uri attack without proper investigation.

"Without any investigation within a few hours India put blamed Pakistan for the attack. Through this one can see what India's motives are," he said.

Amid mass anger in India over the Uri Army camp attack in Kashmir, India on last Wednesday past midnight carried out surgical strikes crossing the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, targeting terrorist launchpads working from within the neighbouring country, the army said.

The strikes were launched by the Indian Army at the KG sector of Poonch district. Two Pakistani soldiers were reportedly killed. Pakistan denied that there were surgicalattacks calling India's claims as "fabrication of truth" but Pak PM Nawak Sharif warned India against any aggression.

The attack in Uri had left 19 Indian soldiers martyred on Sept 18.
