New Delhi, July 24 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said his visit to Rwanda will add 'tremendous strength' to closer economic and cultural relations between India and the African nation.

"I   thank the wonderful people of Rwanda for their warmth and affection. This visit adds tremendous strength to closer economic and cultural relations between India and Rwanda," Modi tweeted.

Modi has already reached Uganda after completing his visit to Rwanda.

During the visit of Modi to the African country, India has extended $200 million lines of credit to the African nation, officials said.
Modi held talks with the country's President Paul Kagame.
Both the leaders discussed issues related to strengthening partnership in trade and investment, capacity building, development partnership and people to people ties.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar earlier tweeted: "Getting down to business immediately upon arrival! PM @narendramodi & Rwandan President @PaulKagame follow a one-on-one meeting with delegation level talks to strengthen partnership in trade & investment, capacity building, development partnership & people to people ties."

This was the first visit by an Indian PM to Rwanda.

He will also visit South Africa after completing his visit to Uganda. The visit to South Africa is in the context of BRICS Summit.
