Man arrested for creating fake Facebook profile of Kolkata mayor
Kolkata, June 16 (IBNS): A court on Sunday granted police custody to a 40-year-old man who was arrested yesterday for creating a fake Facebook profile of city mayor Firhad Hakim.
Police said Tarun Kumar Ghosh, a resident of Buichara Para in Nabadwip district, was "spreading false information" through the profile. The accused has confessed to the crime.
He was arrested from his home.
The device used for the crime has been seized.
Ghosh will be in police custody till June 22, 2019.
