Maharashtra: Man booked for beating ration shop-owner in Nashik

Nashik/UNI: The Rural Police have registered a criminal case against a man for allegedly beating a ration shop-owner at Paigalwadi area in Trimbakehwar taluka of the
district.

The alleged accused, Sunny Medhe, had a quarrel with Namdev Kisan Zole, the shop-owner, on Sunday over distribution of foodgrains to the orange ration card holders, police said.

Angry over this, Medhe beat Zole and also vandalized the shop.

Following the incident, the shop-owner lodged a complaint against Medhe, sources added.
