Maharashtra govt to give compensation to cyclone 'Tauktae' hit victims

Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday declared that the government will give compensation to the cyclone 'Tauktae' affected victims from the coastal districts of the state on the lines of previous cyclonic storm 'Nisarg'.

The Chief Minister himself had visited the Konkan region on May 21 and reviewed the damage caused by the cyclone 'Tauktae'.

He assured that the relief would be provided without any temporary announcement and no one would be deprived of compensation, an official press release said here.
