Maharashtra Assembly polls: BJP releases manifesto today

Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released their party's poll manifesto, Sankalp Patra, here for Assembly elections in Maharashtra.

It was released in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP Working President Jagat Prakash Nadda, State Unit Chief Chandrakant Patil and other leaders.

In manifesto, the BJP has promised to create one crore jobs for the people in the state and better health care.

Some key promises in the 16-point Sankalp Patra by the BJP include making state drought-free in coming years, a Marathwada Water Grid will be made by joining 11 dams, five Lakh Crore rupees investment in infrastructure, introducing preventive and curative health care in state.

In addition, ambit of scholarships and financial support is to be increased in education, homes to all homeless by 2022, workers to be brought under social security net, independent mechanisms for permanent repair and maintenance of all roads to be created through the Chief Minister's Gram Sadak Yojana.

Later, the CM said after elections, the party will take the PMC Bank issue to the Centre and request them to help depositors get their money back,
he added.
