Srinagar: The J&K Lakes & Waterways Development Authority today convened 114th meeting of theBuilding Permission Authority under the Chairmanship of its Vice Chairman at Miskeen Bagh here.
The meeting was convened under Control of Building Operations Act, 1988 through Building permissionAuthority, J&K LDA.
The agenda for the meeting was discussed threadbare and a total of 50 cases weredecided upon by the BPA on merits.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman J&K LDA who is also the Chairman of BOCA has requested the peopleresiding in the local jurisdiction of LDA to apply for proper building permission through its buildingpermission authority, before starting any sort of Construction.
It was given out that the constructionraised illegally shall be dealt seriously under law and will be demolished.Among others, Chief Town Planner, Joint Commissioner (P) SMC, Executive Engineer Electric InspectionDivision, PHE, UEED, Naib Tehsildar (Collector LDA), representatives Executive Engineer Lake Division 1stLDA, Tehsildar North, Tehsildar Khanyar, and Law officer LDA as members of the Building PermissionAuthority were present in the meeting.
