Ladakh: Avalanche buries Army Post, 3 soldiers missing

Srinagar, Apr 6 (IBNS): The snowfall in the month of April in Jammu and Kashmir led to the avalanches in which an Army Post was buried and three soldiers are missing, on Thursday, media reports.

Out of five soldiers who were buried, two were rescued leaving other three to go missing.

Army's Northern Command in a tweet said that they are carrying on the search operation while trained avalanche rescue teams have been employed.

"Rescue operation for balance three soldiers in progress. Specially trained & equipped Avalanche Rescue Teams employed" Northern Command said.

The warnings of avalanche were earlier sent by Chandigarh-based Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment a day back for Jammu & Kashmir.
