Kashmir shut over Gaza air strikes by Israel

| | Jul 17, 2014, at 09:52 pm
Srinagar, July 17 (IBNS) The Kashmir valley is observing a complete shutdown Thursday against the continuing killing of civilians in Gaza by the Israeli offensive.

The strike was called by senior separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and supported by various pro-freedom parties in Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said that shop and business establishments were closed while traffic was seen lesser on the roads.

However, state and central office witnesses fewer attendances in the offices.

It is pertinent mention here that Israel continues its attacks on Gaza strip from last two weeks leaving 200 dead, including teens and
women. Over 1000 were injured.

Kashmir witnessed massive anti-Israel protests in the last seven days especially by students forcing authorities to close all the educational institutions for a two weeks summer break.

The Israeli government also issued an advisory for its citizens 'not to travel to the valley'.
