Kashmir: Pakistan violates ceasefire in Shahpur, Kerni sectors of Poonch

Jammu, Oct 1 (UNI): Pakistan Army on Tuesday violated the ceasefire in Shahpur and Kerni sectors along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

'At around 0745 hours, Pakistan violated the ceasefire in Shahpur and Kerni sectors of Poonch," Defence Spokesperson said.

He further said that Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and shelling with mortars in Shahpur and Kerni sectors.

"Indian Army is retaliating befittingly to the cross border firing while no injury or damage has been reported so far," he added.

Earlier, On Sept 27 and 28 also, they violated the ceasefire in Shahpur and Kerni sectors of Poonch.

Pakistan Army violated the truce in Balakote sector by intense firing on Sept 29.
