Srinagar/UNI:  The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday continued raids on the house of militants in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where the investigation agency arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) who allegedly assisted Adil Ahmad Dar, who rammed his RDX-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus on February 14 last year.

Official sources said sleuths of NIA continued raids on the militant houses at Bakripora and Hajibal in Pulwama district.

Security forces and police cordoned off entire area at Bakirpora and Hajibal in Pulwama early Friday morning. Later, NIA personnel raided the house of militants, including the house of OGW of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) Shakir Bashir Magrey and sealed the house of Shakir at Hajibal, sources said.

The NIA said that Shakir, a 22-year-old was arrested on Friday for assisting Adil, who rammed his RDX laden explosive vehicle into a CRPF bus in which over 40 personnel were martyred and several others injured at Awantipora on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway last year. The agency further said that Shakir was providing shelter and other assistance to JeM militants in Pulwama.

Police and security forces have claimed that all the militants involved in the suicide attack on CRPF vehicle were killed in different encounters immediately after the attack.

The NIA has arrested a number of militants during raids in south Kashmir since the case was handed over to the agency.
