Kashmir: Infiltration along LoC, gunfight on

Kupwara, May 31 (IBNS): The Army on Sunday claimed that they have intercepted a group of heavily-armed militants in Kashmir's Kupwara district, triggering a fierce gun battle which is still raging on over the Line of Control (LoC).
According to IBNS, the Indian Army intercepted heavily-armed militants in Tangdhar sector on Sunday morning.
 
"When challenged, the militants resorted to firing at the troops resulting in a fierce gun battle that is still going on,"  defence sources told IBNS.
 
“When the group of heavily armed militants was challenged by the troops, they opened fire, triggering a gunfight.” sources said.
 
Three army personnel and a militant were killed and an officer sustained serious bullet injuries in a fierce gunfight on the Line of Control in Tangdhar sector of Kashmir on Monday.
