J&K: 2 injured in blast

Srinagar, Apr 8 (IBNS) At least two civilians were wounded when militants lobbed a grenade on an Army Vehicle at Bijbehara area in south Kashmir on Friday.

“Militants hurled a grenade at a passing army convoy in Bijhbehara town of Islamabad this afternoon,” senior police official told IBNS here.   

He further said that grenade missed the target and exploded on the Srinagar Jammu National Highway leaving at least two persons injured.

Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was suspended for some time as the security forces start search operation to track the militants.

Both the injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
