Jammu and Kashmir: Six police personnel die in terrorist attack in Anantnag

Srinagar, June 16 (IBNS): Six personnel including a sub-inspector were killed in a terrorist attack in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir during routine police patrolling on Friday, media reports.

The terrorist attack occurred in Achabal town of Anantnag district of the state.

The sub-inspector, Feroz Dar, along with other four policemen and the driver became victim of the indiscriminate firing by the terrorists.

An operation is currently under process as a counter to the attack.

Lashkar-e-Taiba, Pakistani based terrorist group, claimed responsibility for the attack.
