Jabalpur :At least ten killed as truck rams into house, shops

Jabalpur, Feb 21 (IBNS) :  Ten people,including two children,  were killed and four injured when a truck rammed into a house and few shops  at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday morning, media reports said.

According to reports, the accident took place after the driver of the speeding truck lost control over the wheel and the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a roadside tea stall and a house.

The accident happened in the city's Barela area. The driver escaped immediately after the incident which triggered an angry protest from the local people as a mob set fire to the vehicle.

According to reports, police had to lathicharge to disperse the mob.

A large contingent of police force has been sent to maintain law and order.
