Indian Air force helicopter makes emergency landing at village Budhawar

Hoshiarpur/UNI: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Apache helicopter on Friday made an emergency landing after developing a technical snag, at Budhawar village, about 70 kms from here in Hajipur block of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab.

Two of the pilots on board-- Flight Lieutenant Anoop and Flight Lieutenant Rajat-- and the helicopter are said to be safe. There was no damage to the village.

According to official sources, the helicopter had taken off from Pathankot Army base and due to some technical snag it had made an emergency landing in the village fields.

Police has reached the spot and information to the authorities in Pathankot air base had been sent.

US-based Boeing-made chopper was inducted last year at Pathankot base.
