India–Thailand ties get a boost after crucial talks between Jaishankar and Thai FM

Thailand's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow paid an official visit to India from November 30 to December 1, when he held a delegation-level talks with Indiaan External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

"On 01 December 2025 the External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, held delegation-level talks with the Thai Foreign Minister. FM Phuangketkeow also called on the National Security Adviser, Mr Ajit Doval," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

The two Ministers reviewed the full spectrum of the India–Thailand bilateral relationship, including political exchanges, defence and security cooperation, trade and investment, cyber and digital, connectivity, cooperation in health and education, culture and people-to-people ties.

They also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest, particularly the situation in Myanmar, and cooperation to address challenges arising from transnational crime networks and scam centres operating in the region.

"Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the India–Thailand Strategic Partnership, and to enhancing cooperation across all areas to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region," the statement said.
