IIT Delhi: Woman scholar commits suicide
New Delhi, May 31 (IBNS): A woman scholar of IIT Delhi allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday night by hanging herself from the ceiling fan inside her hostel room, reports said.
The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Manila Devak.
She was pursuing her PhD.
Police has stated that though they are yet to find out the actual cause of suicide, a preliminary report has deemed depression as a reason for her fatal act.
Devak's in-laws are from Bhopal, while she resided at the Nalanda hostel at the campus.
