IED explodes in Manipur’s Moreh town, no casualty

Guwahati, Oct 12: A powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded in Manipur’s Moreh town area, along Indo-Myanmar border, on Friday evening at around 8 pm.

According to reports, the IED exploded at the compound fencing wall of KSO Moreh office Ngamkhai veng, Moreh Ward No.8.

Following the explosion, a fencing wall was damaged and some splinters were found as far as the main road near Chengjapao statue.

There is no report of any casualty in the explosion.

It is the third explosion in Moreh area - the international bordering town within a week.

The incident site is near to HTC office and about 50 meter away from Assam Rifles outpost.
