Four people killed in road mishap in Assam’s Karimganj

Guwahati/IBNS: At least four people, including a 5-month-old child, were killed and six others were injured in a road accident in Assam’s Karimganj district on Monday evening.

Following the incident, angry mob set a vehicle on fire.

The incident took place at Sonakhira area on Chandkhira-Kathaltoli road where head-on-collision between an auto rickshaw and Bolero pick up van.

Four people travelling in the auto rickshaw were killed on spot and six others injured in the incident.

The injured persons were rushed to nearby hospital.

Following the incident, local angry mob attacked the driver of the Bolero pick up van and set it on fire.

The deceased persons were identified as Lili Hajam, Dhani Mura, Sulekha Mura and a 5-month-old child.
