Ranchi, Aug 24 (IBNS): The plea to extend three-month parole of former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief, Lalu Prasad, who has been convicted in fodder scam case, was rejected by the Jharkhand High Court on Friday, media reports said.

Lalu has been asked by the court to return to jail by Aug 30.

He was granted parole by the court on medical grounds.

The RJD chief was sentenced to several years of jail after he was convicted in three fodder cases, which date back to 1990s.

Three more fodder cases are pending in the court.
