Five langurs deployed to protect President Donald Trump from monkey attack during Agra visit
Agra/IBNS: While security for US President Donald Trump's visit to India is being heightened, the security forces have deployed five langurs(long-tailed monkeys) to deal with monkey menace during his visit to Agra, according to an India Times report.
Monkeys wreak havoc in Agra and langurs can scare them away easily. In order to prevent monkey attack on President Trump when he visits Agra with his wife Melania Trump to see the Taj Mahal, the security forces have deployed "five responsible" langurs.
President Trump is scheduled to visit Agra on Monday after attending the mega "Namaste Trump" event at the newly built Motera cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.
Apart from the security arrangements, the walls and roads across the city are being decked up. Walls are being painted with pictures reflecting the Brij culture and architectural heritage of Agra and Victorian-style street lights are being erected, said the reports.
The lawns in iconic Taj Mahal are being adorned with flowers and for the first time the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has given mud cap treatment to the graves of Emperor Shahjahan and Empress Mumtaz Mahal, added the reports.
