Family politics is tolerable to 'some' extent: BS Yeddyurappa

| @indiablooms | Mar 13, 2019, at 04:58 pm

Bengaluru, Mar 13 (UNI/IBNS): Confessing that family-politics should be restricted only to ‘some extent’, Former Chief minister and State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa is opposing it to ‘stretch it too far”.

Addressing newsmen here on Wednesday, Yeddyurappa was very much critical on former Prime minister H D Deve Gowda, who have plans to bring his two grand-children to politics and field them in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Replying to a questions, the State BJP president had said that “there should be some limit for practicing family-politics”.

“The way the JD(S) supremo H D Devegowda is playing family politics is intolerable” he added.

It may be recalled that Mr Yeddyurappa, had fielded his son B Y Raghavendra to contest the Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat, vacated by him last year, and also ensured his victory in the by-elections.

The BJP however dashed the hope of B Y Vijayendra, another son, who had tried to enter the politics by contesting as the BJP candidate in the Varuna seat in the 2018 Assembly elections.
