New Delhi/IBNS: In a major breakthrough against the global network of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s D-Company, his close aide and top-ranked international drug trafficker Salim Dola was deported to India early Tuesday, according to media reports.

Deported Under Heavy Security

Dola arrived at Delhi’s technical airport on a special aircraft under tight security cover, marking a significant step in India’s crackdown on transnational organised crime.

Arrested in Istanbul Operation

He was recently apprehended in Istanbul following a coordinated operation involving Indian and international intelligence agencies.

In Custody, Under Intense Interrogation

Soon after landing in the national capital, Dola was taken into custody by intelligence officials. He is currently being interrogated at an undisclosed location.

Likely Handover to Probe Agencies

Dola is expected to be handed over to the Mumbai Police or the Narcotics Control Bureau for further legal proceedings related to multiple drug trafficking and money laundering cases.

₹5,000-Crore Drug Empire

Authorities said Dola has been a key figure in the global narcotics trade and is believed to have built a transnational synthetic drug empire worth over Rs 5,000 crore, reported The Times of India.
