Engine failure halts Delhi-Katra train in tunnel

New Delhi, July 16 (IBNS): The newly introduced Shri Shakti Express was stuck in a tunnel for an hour close to the Katra Railway Station due to engine failure on Wednesday, reports said.

The   New Delhi-Katra superfast train, which was launched from the national capital this week,  was on its second run  when troubles occurred.

According to reports, the train  had reached Katra at 7 am on Wednesday. It was two hours late in reaching its destination.

Jammu and Kashmir's Katra town is the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.

The shrine is visited by millions of devotees every year.
