EAM Sushma Swaraj meets mother and wife of Indian prisoner Kulbhushan Jadhav

New Delhi, Dec 26 (IBNS): Mother and wife of Kulbhushan Jadhav, the former Indian Navy officer who is on death row in Pakistan on charges of spying, met Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi on Tuesday, according to media reports.

On Monday, Pakistan government allowed Jadhav and his mother and wife a half an hour meeting in Islamabad in the presence of representatives from both countries, reports said.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday shared images where mother and wife of Kulbhushan Jadhav could be seen meeting the detained Indian prisoner.

As per the picture, Kulbhushan Jadhav, the Indian sentenced to death in Pakistan, met his wife and mother across a glass screen.

At the three-hour meeting with Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday, a number of officials from the foreign ministry, including foreign secretary S Jaishankar, were also present, media reported.
