Dubai-bound Air India flight aborts take off as dog appears on runway

Amritsar, Dec 30 (IBNS): A Dubai-bound Air India flight narrowly escaped an accident when a dog appeared on the runway as the plane was taxiing down the same forcing the pilot to apply brakes at Rajasansi International Airport in Amritsar, media report said on Wednesday.
The plane was carrying 171 passengers onboard.
 
According to reports, the dog appeared before the front tyre of Amritsar-Dubai Air India Express Flight while the plane was taxiing down the the runway for take-off. 
 
The pilot had to apply brakes to abort the take off.
 
All the 171 passengers were deplaned following which a thorough technical checkup of the aircraft was carried out, said reports.
 
The plane took off after nearly four hours of delay.
