New Delhi/IBNS: At a time when Delhi is on edge after witnessing the deadly violence over the new citizenship law, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad asked Congress chief Sonia Gandhi not to teach his party the 'rajdharma'.

He advised Gandhi to look into the 'mirror'.

"Don't preach us rajdharma. Your record is full of violations, twists and turns for plain and simple vote bank politics," Prasad said while addressing a press conference.

"You should look at yourself at the mirror of rajdharma," he said.

He said the  NPR was started by the Congress-led government in the past.

"If you do it, it's alright, but if we do it, we are instigating people?" he said.

The recent violence in Delhi claimed over 30 lives so far.

Several parts of India witnessed massive protests in recent times eve since the government passed the new citizenship law late last year.

38 people have been killed in the Delhi violence which continued from Monday morning to Tuesday night.
