Srinagar/IBNS: The Jammu Kashmir Workers Party president Mir Junaid wished the whole country on the occasion of Diwali.

Junaid on the occasion said, “Diwali is the celebration of returning of Lord Rama to his home and gives a message of the triumph of good over evil.”

He added, “These are testing times due to the Covid 19 situation and I advise fellow countrymen not to lower the guard in the fight against Corona while celebrating the festival and I wish that we are able to overcome these testing times."

Mir further wished a happy and prosperous future for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir through the blessings of this holy occasion.

Mir also mentioned the need for celebrating the Diwali in an eco friendly manner for avoiding air pollution.

Talking about the importance of Diwali Mir said, “Diwali is an occasion through which we leave our past differences aside and embrace each other with love and compassion. Therefore it is the right time to resolve our differences and unite for the cause of national unity and development."

Talking about the teachings of Lord Ram, Mir said, “In Ram lays the code for an ideal conduct which all of us must strive to attain as we are seeing a moral degradation in our living due to increasing materialistic western influences. We must take a look around and try helping the needy in these individualistic times."

Mir concluded by wishing for a similarly dignified return of the Pandit community to their motherland of Kashmir. He said, “The ‘Vanvaas’ of our Pandit brethren and sisters has outlasted that of lord Ram and we all must act in coordination for the return of the aboriginals of Kashmir."
