Deputy Chairman of RS Harivansh meets President Ram Nath Kovind

New Delhi, Aug 20 (IBNS): Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha Harivansh met President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday.

The meeting took place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

"Shri Harivansh, Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, called on #PresidentKovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan," the official Twitter page of the President shared an image of the meeting and captioned it.

Harivansh was recently elected to the post.

Harivansh, who belongs to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), got the support of 125 members, becoming the first non-Congress man to assume the post in 41 years' time.

Congress' BK Hariprasad, who was fielded as the Opposition candidate, could manage to get 105 votes.
