CBI arrests Rotomac pen owner Vikram Kothari and son Rahul

New Delhi, Feb 22 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Rotomac pens owner Vikram Kothari and his son Rahul for allegedly defaulting a loan of Rs. 800 crore, media reports said.

The CBI on Wednesday quizzed Kothari and his son.

Earlier, Kothari was questioned in Kanpur by CBI officials.

The investigating agency had also raided in residential and official premises of Kothari.

According to the media report, Kothari has failed to pay back the loans worth Rs. 800 crore taken from several state banks.

The CBI had started investigating after a complaint registered by the Bank of Baroda.

On Sunday, Kothari rubbished the reports of his flee from the country after one of his offices was found locked for a week.
