Canada PM Trudeau holds meeting with Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Feb 23 (IBNS): On the last day of his India visit, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has met Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in the national capital on Friday.

The two leaders have engaged themselves into a discussion of strengthening the bilateral ties between India and Canada.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted, "Picture speaks for itself! EAM @SushmaSwaraj had a warm meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada @JustinTrudeau and discussed ways to strengthen and deepen our partnership."

Trudeau will also hold a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.

A day ago, Swaraj had met Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, who flew down to India on Wednesday.

Swaraj and Freeland had wide ranging discussions on strengthening relations in trade and investment, security and cyber security, energy, people to people contacts and other relevant bilateral and regional issues.
