Bihar Health minister's picture with murder accused goes viral in social media
The alleged criminal Mohammad Kaif seen with the minister is wanted in the murder of journalist Rajdeo Ranjan who was killed by motorcycle-borne criminals in May this year.
In the photograph now gone viral in the media, the alleged shooter is seen offering a bouquet to the health minister.
It is said the picture was shot sometime after Yadav swore in as the minister in November last year after the grand alliance posted emphatic win over the NDA.
“More than a thousand people come to meet me every day. Is it possible to recognize everyone?” asked the minister.
He added the man seen with him was not a member of the RJD.
A couple of days back, the alleged shooter now declared as an “absconder” in police records had been seen with controversial RJD leader Mohammad Shahabuddin, local media reported on Wednesday.
The local media also released photograph of the alleged criminal standing close to Shahabuddin as he talked to the media soon after his release from Bhagalpur jail on Saturday.
The local Siwan district superintendent of police Saurabh Kumar Shah said the accused would be arrested soon.
“Kaif played a prime conspirator in the sensational murder of Journalist Rajdeo Ranjan and all the accused arrested so far were in his touch,” he was quoted as telling Hindustan Times today.
Ranjan, a senior journalist with the prominent Hindi daily Hindustan, was shot dead by the motorcycle-borne criminals in May this year.
