Assam Sports Minister takes stock of ongoing FIFA WC related works at Sarusajai Sports Complex

Guwahati, June 2 (IBNS): Assam Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Naba Kumar Doley on Friday visited the Sarusajai Sports Complex, Guwahati to take stock of the ongoing FIFA Under-17 World Cup related works.

The Minister was accompanied by a team of officials of Sports and Youth Welfare Department and Public Works (Building) Department.

The Minister after inspecting all the sites instructed the PWD Officials to expedite and to complete the works within the stipulated time.

The Minister said that holding of matches of FIFA Under-17 World Cup is a matter of pride for the State as well as for the North East Region.

He also interacted with the officials of the concern departments to work in close co-ordination so that the desired target can be achieved as per timeline.
