Assam Rifles and NCB seize heroin worth Rs 57 lakh in Manipur

Imphal/IBNS: Assam Rifle troops along with Narcotics Control Bureau, have foiled an attempt to smuggle in narcotics in Manipur's Moreh.

Based on intelligence inputs, troops of Assam Rifles and Narcotics Control Bureau intercepted two suspects traveling on a  motorcycle at Check Post in Mission Veng on Sunday.

On thorough checking of the motorcycle, 260 grams of heroin worth Rs 57 lakh was recovered.

The two drug peddlers, motorcycle and the captured heroin were taken into custody by Narcotics Control Bureau for further legal proceedings.
