Assam: Police nab CRPF jawan with illegal arms

Guwahati, Sept 8 (IBNS) : The Railway Police on Monday apprehended a jawan of the CRPF with illegal arms at Guwahati railway station.

According to reports, acting on a tip-off, the Railway Police launched a search operation at Guwahati bound Amritsar express in Paltan Bazar railway station and nabbed a CRPF jawan with illegal arms.

“We have recovered a 9mm pistol in possession from Krishna Dubey, a CRPF jawan hailing from Bihar,” an official of the Railway Police said.

Police later interrogated him.
