Assam: Excavator and carrier truck catch fire after coming in contact with high voltage electric wire

Guwahati/IBNS: An excavator and a carrier truck trailer gutted in a fire in Assam’s Kamrup district in the wee hours of Sunday.

There is no report of any casualty in the incident.

The incident took place at Mondira area near Nagarbera in Kamrup district at around 4 amon Sunday where the excavator caught by fire after accidently touched with a high voltage electric wire.

According to the reports, the excavator was engaged in some works at the area and the truck trailer was carrying the excavator towards to Nalbari.

Following the incident, locals tried to douse the flames and also informed fire service personnel.

Later, after struggling for hours, the fire tenders had managed to control the situation.
