Arun Jaitley begins budget speech in Parliament

New Delhi, July 10 (IBNS): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday began his speech for the Union Budget 2014 in Parliament pointing out the aspirations of Indian society and how everyone is looking forward to a low level of inflation, freedom from poverty and creation of employment.

Jaitley said he is bound to usher in a budget that lays down a broad policy that leads to higher growth of  7-8%  and addresses the poor.

He said the budget will focus on "sabka vikash" (development of everyone).

He said the budget will aim to bring down fiscal deficit and current account deficit.

The is the maiden budget of the Narendra Modi government being presented after nearly 45 days of coming to power.
