APJ Abdul Kalam lives in our hearts: PM Modi on late Prez's birth anniversary

New Delhi, Oct 15 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tribute to former President A P J Abdul Kalam on his 87th birth anniversary,saying he still lives in the hearts of Indians.

"An exceptional teacher, a wonderful motivator, an outstanding scientist and a great President, Dr. Kalam lives in the hearts and minds of every Indian. Remembering him on his Jayanti," Modi tweeted.

Born on October 15,1931, Kalam was the country's President from 2002 to 2007. He died in 2015.

He was awarded Bharat Ratna,the highest civilian  honour in the  country in 1997.
