Andhra Pradesh: Boat capsizes in East Godavari, 7 missing

Amaravati, July 14 (IBNS): At least seven people are said to be missing since a boat capsized in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district on Saturday, reports said.

The passenger boat was reportedly carrying 40 passengers.

According to reports, 30 passengers have been rescued so far.

"Rescue teams of the National Disaster Response Force and the State Disaster Response Force are at the spot, assisting in search and rescue operations," NDTV reported.

The boat reportedly turned over after hitting a pillar in the  Gautami river while it was moving from Talarivaripalem to Pashuvulanka areas.
