Amit Shah forwards letter for CBI probe in Sushant's death to concerned Ministry: Ex-Bihar MP Pappu Yadav

Pappu Yadav, the national president of Jan Adhikar Party, said that he had earlier sent a letter to Amit Shah requesting a CBI probe into Sushant's 'unnatural' death and received an acknowledgement from the Union Home Minister.

On Tuesday, Yadav, on his verified Twitter handle, shared the copy of the acknowledgement, where it was mentioned that his letter was being forwarded to the concerned Ministry.

Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting him for a CBI enquiry into Sushant's death case, which is being investigated by the Mumbai Police.

Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his Bandra flat in Mumbai on Jun 14. The actor had hanged himself at his flat.

The post-mortem report too confirmed that Sushant had committed suicide but owing to pressure from various sections, especially with the concern of foul play raised in social media, the Mumbai Police started probing the death.

Taking note of the claims raised that Sushant lost a number of film projects due to nepotism in the Bollywood industry, the Maharashtra government had ordered a probe into the actor's untimely death.

The Mumbai Police earlier recorded statements of filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shekhar Kapur.

Besides them, 28 people including Sushant's family members, friends, rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, last co-star Sanjana Sanghi had also recorded their statements with the police.

The 34-year old actor's death gave fuel to the long-pending debate on nepotism and favouritism in the film industry.  People, especially in social media including popular film personalities, had been calling out the Bollywood biggies for allegedly encouraging nepotism in the tinseltown.

Sushant was reportedly undergoing mental depression for the last six months.
